Controlling and monitoring user sessions are top of mind for optimal security & performance. Leverage Gateway Insight to gain visibility into the failures encountered by users, regardless of the access mode, when logging and launching sessions through Citrix Gateway.   Amongst many other capabilities, you can view active users’ sessions, bytes and licenses used, security and authentication events as well as launch failures for a particular user. Learn how to employ an end-to-end monitoring strategy with synthetic testing via App Probing. Proactively monitor your users’ app and desktop launch experience by setting up probes to troubleshoot issues related to the applications, hosting machine or connection before the users experience them.

Kane is one of our Technical Account Managers for the America Customer Success team. Prior, Kane served 4 years on the Netscaler ADC Escalation team. When not working with his customers, he is assisting with launching Hardware Priority Program. Kane has worked in the IT industry over the past decade. Prior to working at Citrix, Kane worked for a Managed Service Provider in the Banking & Finance Industry and AirWatch. Kane carries several IT certifications from Citrix, Cisco, VMware, EMC, Microsoft, CompTIA, Brocade & more.
 

Optimal performance, features and fixes can be found in the latest Citrix product releases. We want you, as the Citrix Admin, to be prepared to smoothly upgrade to the latest version and to be armed with the right tools to quickly troubleshoot and be up and running. We have simplified and improved the upgrade process through data analytics and customer feedback.

This session covers how to use Scout to collect install logs as well as how to use MSI log analyzer to find resolutions to upgrade issues with Virtual Apps and Desktops. Additionally, you’ll learn how to solve common upgrade issues in Citrix ADC and successfully upgrade your Citrix Gateway with zero downtime.

Vinothkumar Prabhakaran is a Product Manager at Citrix, focusing on networking, telco, IoT, and core infrastructure functionalities in Citrix ADC. Vinoth has past work experience in Mobile packet core technology and also in automotive embedded systems. Vinoth holds MBA from IIMB and has completed under graduation in Electronics and communication.

Manbinder Pal Singh
Staff Software Engineer, Virtual Apps and Desktops

Manbinder Pal Singh is a Staff Software Engineer in the Virtual Apps and Desktops group. He primarily owns driving quality and feature improvements in Server MetaInstaller for install and upgrades. Prior to this, he gained extensive experience in automation by working with various teams including HDX and Receiver.

Workspace Environment Management uses intelligent resource and profile management technologies to deliver the best possible performance, desktop logon, and application response times for Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops deployments. This session will demystify the complexity of Workspace Environment Management by providing you with best practices for deploying it in conjunction with provisioning methods. Learn strategies for reducing resource utilization on the VDA & see practical examples for using Workspace Environment Management to reduce session log on duration. You will leave this session with tips and tricks for troubleshooting deployments of WEM in Citrix Cloud and on premises.

Rod started with Citrix (Dublin) in 2013 as an Software Escalation engineer before switching to Worldwide Support Readiness where he now produces technical training for Citrix support teams. He was originally a cartographer in Australia for many years before moving to Ireland and holds BSc. degrees in Land Information (Cartography) and Computer Science.

He has been at Citrix for three years, and managed several cloud security and cloud networking initiatives. He has breadth of experience in SaaS, cloud security, access technologies, security analytics and network management domains. Praveen has an MBA from Santa Clara University and Masters degrees in engineering and science from BITS Pilani, India.

This session will help you master key deployment best practices for Citrix ADM with High Availability & Disaster Recovery, and will show you how to quickly diagnose and address the ‘no data error’ using the No Data Diagnostic Utility. Adding a StorageZone controller to your data center provides the ability to manage your own data storage and comes with several benefits such as meeting regulatory requirements and locating storage closer to your users for optimized performance. When you leave this session, you will have the key steps for successful deployment and configuration of an on-premises StorageZone Controller including data migration from the Cloud. You’ll also be able to leverage advanced administrative settings for better user group management and access privileges as well as how to configure advanced authentication options such as single sign-on (SSO).

He started with Citrix 4 years ago, where he began as a support rep in the SMB space for ShareFile and moved to the Enterprise support team last year. Michael is passionate about empowering admins to leverage SaaS in their organization. Prior to working at Citrix, Michael was a Market Ambassador at Microsoft.
