Collecting the right data remains one of the biggest challenges when chasing down the root of a problem and achieving a quick resolution. Consistency in tracing and logging methods has been a key focus area for the Product Supportability and Engineering teams.

In this session you’ll learn about Always-On Tracing which aims to reduce analysis time especially for intermittent issues, and we’ll provide guidance on the key data points our Dev Analysis teams use when researching root cause for XenApp/XenDesktop, XenMobile, and NetScaler products. We’ll also show how Long-Term Service Releases can minimize the risk and expense of introducing change to your environment.

Kappa is a senior engineer of the US DevAnalysis Team. His current focus is XenMobile, and he’s also has experience in the XenApp and XenDesktop product lines. He has also served a few interesting roles in Citrix, including Senior Escalation Engineer for the US escalation team, and Senior Product Developer for ShareFile MacOS.

If you’re considering a move to Citrix Cloud and plan to use Azure as your resource location, you won’t want to miss this one. This session highlights lessons learned from a Senior Escalation Engineer around common issues customers experience when integrating XenDesktop or Citrix Cloud XenApp and XenDesktop Services with Azure Resource Manager.

We’ll also look at one of the more common problem types seen in a Citrix Cloud user environment: connectivity issues related to communication or registration failure between VDA and Controller. Understanding how to identify and resolve these issues quickly are critical to supporting a Citrix cloud environment.

However, a solid understanding of the communication flow between NetScaler Gateway, StoreFront and XenApp/XenDesktop resources is essential if problems arise and you need to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly.

In this session you’ll learn about common error messages and configuration challenges you may encounter when integrating NetScaler Gateway and Storefront, where communication flow problems may occur, and troubleshooting tips to help with the Integration. When we look at the problems that float to the top of our support case funnel, we notice several areas where NetScaler customers feel the most pain: upgrades, configuration workflow for GSLB and monitors, SAML and 2-factor authentication.

In this session, we’ll discuss ongoing product supportability efforts and recently released solutions that aim to reduce effort when deploying or upgrading Delivery Networks products and accelerate the move to latest product versions. We’ll also provide a glimpse of improvements on the horizon.
